“As long as people live there, a house is living, too”. Set of postcards by old khata project

15 postcards on a textured paper, in a paper wrap.

Carved wooden window frames from Polissya and floral decorations from Podillya, Carpathian sun and moon or Besarabian lions on the outer facades, rural houses’ interiors from the center of Ukraine and gates from the East. The houses stand alone and in the garden, on a slope or in a valley, under the stars, rainbow, or rain clouds. Some of them have just come out of the snowstorm, others stand calmly under a new moon. All these houses tell about the creativity of their builders and owners, all of them tell something about Ukrainians.

In this set of postcards, you’ll find selected photos from the Old Khata Book. The photos are taken between 2020 and 2023 in different regions of Ukraine, before and after Russia’s full-scale invasion.
